Watching Documentary

This week activity for our club was watching documentaries on volunteering. From this, the members will and hopefully understand more about volunteering and to open our eyes that volunteering is not actually entirely about getting free certificates and other privileges. What can we sum up from volunteering is that, it opens our mind to help others in need without wanting anything in return, from volunteering also can we break free from our comfort zone and for once be confidence with ourselves, to be independent, to become a better person , we also learn to hold a responsibility and to bring awareness about what is need to be done for our own community and optimistically speaking may be one day we can create an awareness that we can spread internationally.

UVC can be a platform for anyone who wants and wishes to go further in volunteering, for example, organising fundraising activity for organisations. UVC also can be a place to train volunteers.

Below are the  list of documentaries or short clips that we watched:

Act of Kindness - Homeless

Hands on Manila: The Power of Volunteerism

Youth Volunteerism

Helping the Homeless 2013 Documentary

Really Touching Video (Helping The Homeless: Give A Smile)
