Beach Bunch 'International Coastal Cleanup' Brunei 2013

The event was held on 22nd September 2013. It was organized by the well-known NGO in Brunei, the Beach Bunch. Serves to educate and join forces with other nature-lovers about the importance of cleaning and preserving environment and also mostly take place in beaches. With this event, they tried to gather all volunteers from different institutions and UBD-UVC is no exception as they voluntarily participated in this massive event, yet.

the Beach Bunch organised the 28th International Coastal Cleanup at six different beaches in the Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait districts. We chose to participate in Meragang beach, Brunei-Muara and about 50 members registered and took part.

Volunteers are required to be there by 7 am and bring their own plastic gloves and plastic bags. Bus transportation was provided and volunteers were asked to gather in Masjid UBD parking lot by 6.30 am and they finished by 9 am. Slightly one hour early from the actual plan.
